Democracy has helped establish and strengthen the rule of law in Kenya, through the independent judiciary and legal institutions, which have played a crucial role in upholding the rights and freedom of every individual and ensures they are applied equally among them.
Democracy has provided a foundation for economic progress in Kenya, despite, their relationship being complex.
By promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance, democratic institutions have contributed to an environment that is conducive to investment, business growth, and economic stability in the country.
While Kenya has made significant strides in its democratic journey, the path has not been without obstacles, such as political tensions, violence, and disputes during elections which need to be addressed in our continued efforts to strengthen democracy.
